We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic volunteer to capture the vibrant atmosphere, moving moments, and intricate details of our Day of the Dead / Fet Gede celebration. Your work will be the visual history of our event, helping us secure future funding and engage our community

Position Details
- Role: Event Photographer/Videographer
- Shift Time: 5pm – 10:30pm (3 hour shift within this window)
Responsibilities (The “What”)
This is a key role focused on visual and anecdotal storytelling:
- Photo Coverage: Capture high-quality images of the altar displays, performances, crowd interactions, and vendor activity.
- Video Capture: Capture short video clips (15–30 seconds) of key performances and general atmosphere for social media use.
- Interviews/Statements: Gather short, enthusiastic statements (1–2 sentences) from vendors, artists, and participants about what the event means to them.
Requirements (Enthusiasm & Basic Tech)
- Experience: Previous experience is helpful, but not required. We are looking for someone with an eye for a good shot!
- Equipment: Must own and operate a smartphone with a modern, high-quality camera capable of capturing decent photos and video in low-light conditions.
- Style: Ability to capture dynamic, colorful, and engaging images that reflect the cultural reverence and celebratory atmosphere of the event.
- Please note: This is a fun and high-impact role. You must be comfortable approaching people to ask for short statements.
